Text Box: MEGHAN MAHONEY
graduated first in her class at East Hampton High School. Her mother, Patricia, is a paraprofessional at East Hampton Center School. Her father, Peter, is a plant man-ager at the Jobin Machine Co. Her sister, Erin, is a nanny in FL and sister, Colleen, attends the University of Notre Dame. Meghan’s academic achievements include 4 years on the high honor role and receiving the Outstanding Achievement in Journalism award for 3 years. She is a member of the concert band, the marching band, the National Honor Society, the news-paper staff and the yearbook staff. Meghan is active in Big Brother/Big Sisters, and the St. Patrick Church Peer Ministry & Youth Group. She also volunteers at Middlesex Hospital and the library.  Meghan will begin her nurs-ing education at  Boston College in the fall.

graduated first in his class from Plainfield High School. His mother, Trisha, is a custodian at CT Valley Hospital and father, Peter, is employed at Electric Boat. His sister Michelle will be a junior at Plainfield High this fall. Nicholas received the Rensselaer Science & Math Gold Medal. As an active member of the National Honor Society, he helped raise funds so his group could attend the national conference in Florida. He is a member of the Panthers Marching Band, and is a tutor in both math and sci-ence. Out of school, he volunteers for 4 fire & rescue services. He took his EMT certification test in late June. Nicholas will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and intends on becoming a theoretical astrophysicist (say that 3 times quickly!)

graduated from Valley Reg-ional High School in Deep River. Erin’s father, Doug, is a DOT Maintainer 2 in Tylerville. Her mother, Joyce, is a graphic designer. Her sister, Amanda, is a student at Northeastern University. Erin’s involvement in the community includes work at the senior housing facility and the Tri-Town Youth Telethon. At school, Erin was on the honor role every semester for four years. She played field hockey for four years, becoming a starter her senior year. She participated in the school musical production, was a member of her class steering committee, was a mentor and a peer advocate. In the fall she will begin studying arts and science at Northeastern University in Boston. 
Text Box: BEATA HRYNKIEWICZ
is a graduate of Wethersfield High School. Her mother, Irena, is a custodian at the UConn Health Center. Her father, Josef, is a mechanic at Capewell Horsenails Inc. in Bloomfield. Her sister, Edyta, will be a sophomore at Wethersfield High. Beata is a troop leader in the Polish Girl Scouts. She volunteers at St. Cyril & St. Methodius Church. At Wethersfield High, she is part of the school marching band, the choir, JETS Team, the math league and the National Honor Society. Beata is multi-lingual, being fluent in English,  Polish and Spanish. Her work as a physical therapy aide at Suburban Physical Therapy solidified her desire to become a physical therapist. She will be pursuing this at the University of Connecticut in the fall.

graduated from Shepaug Valley High School in Washington.  Her father, Charles, is a DOT Maintainer 4 in Torrington and her mother, Donna, is a special ed teacher in New Milford. Her brother Ethan attends Shepaug Middle School and sister Jade attends UConn. Julie has been involved in the county R-H program for over 10 years. She is an active church member who volunteers regularly at church functions and fundraisers, as well as with town rec department. Very active in sports, she has also coached a variety of sports clinics. Julie chose to volunteer in a physical therapy clinic for her senior project. This, and her love of anatomy and physiology led her to pursue her studies in physical therapy at UConn/Storrs.

 

 

PAST CEUI GOLF TOURNAMENTS

Scholarship and Humanitarian Award Recipients

2005-2006 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 

Applications are now available for the 2005-2006 Salvatore Perruccio Scholarship. CEUI offers
four (4) $2,500 scholarships and MEUI offers one (1) $1,000 scholarship to a deserving child of an active dues
paying member paying member of CEUI/MEUI. The specifics for qualifying are:

 

1. You must be a senior in high school about to enter a four-year accredited college by the Fall of 2006.
2. You must fill out a preliminary application form by April 15, 2006.
3. You must return a final application (after submission of the preliminary application) postmarked by
May 15, 2006.
4. Qualifying students will be individually interviewed.
5. Winners will be expected to attend the 19th Annual Salvatore J. Perruccio Golf Tournament held
June 29, 2006.

The application period for 2005-2006 is now closed.
